Bonneville Salt Flats

The first stop on our June 2025 trip to Utah and Idaho were the Bonneville Salt Flats, a densely packed salt pan west of Salt Lake City. These Salt Flats are where they run the land speed races and is where the fastest speed ever recorded occurred.

Leading up to the area off I-80 where you can get out and walk on the Salt Flats, is the, in my opinion, weird-looking art piece called the Tree of Utah.
