Brown v. Board of Education NHP

The first stop today was 3 sites associated with Brown v. Board of Education NHS sites. I never thought about this issue in states like Delaware and Pennsylvania, but it was. Clayton HS was an all-white school, and African Americans in the area could not attend but were instead bussed an hour away to Howard HS. Hockessin HS was a dilapidated HS where rural African Americans had to find their own transportation to while white children were bussed to places like Clayton. It was an interesting reminder that these issues were all over America.
