Finally Made it to the Pro Football Hall of Fame
After several trips to Ohio in the past, I finally made it to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. Although my team, the Detroit Lions, (until late) has been historically bad, I know there are some past players, like Barry Sanders, who are properly enshrined in the HoF. We had some extra time and figured we could finally fit it in on our trip.
While Scott walked around looking for San Francisco 49ers stuff, I took pictures of every Lions thing I could find 😂
As you would expect, there are some really interested tidbits in the Hall of Fame, and of course I had to take photos of one of my favorite Michigan players, Charles Woodson; Man of the Year; and the Lombardi Trophy
I was really happy to see several tributes to Pat Tillman, former ASU linebacker. While playing in the NFL, he left the NFL and volunteered with the U.S. Army to serve our country after the September 11, 2001 attacks in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Unfortunately, he was killed by friendly fire on April 22, 2004.
