San Francisco
Scott and I headed to San Francisco for a long weekend to visit our friend and his aunt and uncle. Having been to the city many times before, we didn’t have a plan and just wandered the city for a few days.

We spent the morning wandering the Mission District, checking out the cool murals.
We also went into the GLBT and Counterculture Museums, both of which we felt were underwhelming and could be so much better.
Took our first Waymo ride. It was very strange not having a person driving the car. It seemed pretty safe though, as the car maneuvered the difficult streets, drivers, and pedestrians well.
Wandered around the Castro area.
Also visited the Pink Triangle Memorial—a memorial to the homosexuals killed during the Holocaust.
Also grabbed a drink at The Page — an old-timey-ish dive bar that had decent beer, even if it only took cash (which seems to be “a thing” for dive bars in SF).
Finally, hit up a great brewery before meeting our friend for dinner!

We started the day out with a great bunch and chat with my friend, Nikki. Of course, we spent a great weekend with her and I completely forgot about getting a picture. Doh!
After brunch with her, we headed to an Arizona State University (ASU) bar in the Marina District of San Francisco, where we watched ASU beat Baylor.

On our last day, we decided to play tourist since Scott's Aunt wasn't feeling well after her surgery. So, when Nikki also opted to stay home and rest, Scott and I headed to Pier 39 for the day before we flew out that night. Walked around and saw the tourist sites and then grabbed a beer at Humble Sea Brewing Company before heading back to Nikki's to grab our stuff and head to the airport.
