A Morning in Yellowstone National Park

Since we revamped our trip to spend an unexpected night with our friends in West Yellowstone, we further revamped our trip to spend the next night in Driggs, Idaho, with some ASU tailgating friends. They had built a house outside of Driggs and we've wanted to visit them in their new house for awhile. So, we spent the day driving through Yellowstone National Park, and then Grand Teton National Park, to get to Driggs for dinner.
After getting the obligatory sign photo with our friends (who stay off social media), they let us through the entrance to the park and we proceeded along the Madison River.

We turned southbound and drove through Geyser Basin. As we expected, the number of people at the parking areas was beyond astounding, so we didn't bother to stop. We both have been to the Park before, so it wasn't imperative that we brave the crowds and jockey for a parking spot. We did get a couple photos of geyser activity as we drive through, ending at Yellowstone Lake.

The crowds were significantly thinner in the West Thumb area of the Park, so we decided to find a parking spot and walk the boardwalks to see the various thermal pools.

Unfortunately, we then had to leave the Park and head southward onto the John D. Rockefeller, Jr. Memorial Parkway. We saw zero wildlife in Yellowstone, but we were quickly graced with two moose alongside the Parkway.

Onto An Afternoon in Grand Teton National Park.
